Pre-Race Safety Meeting and Race Day Information

BE SAFE, HAVE FUN, BE SAFE !!!!!!!!!!

• SPEED-UP RULE:  Relay leg #5 runner must leave Airport by 10:45, Relay Leg # 6 runner must leave Shalimar ES by 11:30. All runners should be finished by the 12:45 time limit.
  
• Relay stop #1- Fud’s in Destin- Please use the red light at Triumph Dr (just past Fuds) to turn left and enter the Laser Tag/Fudpucker’s parking lot.
• All participants must sign the race disclaimer and please use high visible, reflective gear running, especially those leaving prior to 6:30 AM.
• The race will be run on the inside of the race course. You will use sidewalks and bike lanes. No roads are closed so safety is paramount. No bicycles may be used to pace. You will cross oncoming traffic south of the airport (Crestview ramp) and twice on Perry Ave.
• Please be careful as you navigate (runners/vehicles) the course as most relay stops will be congested. You may use alternate relay stops to make your exchange.
• Slap bracelets will be used by the teams. Turn it in at the finish line for timing and tracking purposes. Each team member will receive a poster and glass at the finish line.
• Ear buds, headphones and music are discouraged due to safety reasons. Please use caution as you cross streets. Cars will look left and turn right. Make sure they see you before proceeding.
  
• POST-RACE: NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES MAY BE BROUGHT INTO FUD’S!!!!!!!! Please enjoy the food and drink but be mindful of those finishing behind you. If you have supporters that wish to enjoy the post-race food/beverage, they must contribute. Tentative plans for beverages and food; food and drinks at 11:00 and announcements at 1:00. We will announce the top five finishers in the Relay and Ultra and the top five in team names and attire. All Ultra runners will be announced.

• Please support and encourage the Ultra runners when you see them. The food at the aid stations are for the Ultra runners.
•  Free massages by Bodyworks by Bull after the race. 
  

• Don’t forget the Bloody Mary Recovery Run Sunday morning at 8:00 AM at the Ramada.
