2018 Race Welcome

Welcome to the 2018 Round the Bay Relay and Ultra race blog. I plan to make weekly updates between now and mid December and then as needed. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holidays and are now ready to ramp the training back up.

I plan to run local races on Dec. 8 (Ho Ho Hustle-FWB),  Dec. 15 (Props-FWB/Lovejoy RD)and Dec. 22 (Egg Nog Jog- FWB) if you wish to hand deliver them. All three are good local races and hopefully we will have some good cool running conditions.

T-shirts are ordered and are guaranteed for the first 300 to register and pay. We are currently sitting at 157 registrants. Race glasses and mugs will be here this week. Race Team Posters are already done.

Beverages and food will be provided post race at the Elks Lodge. Billy Adams will prepare the food and we plan to have four different dishes; jambalaya, chili, alfredo and a mystery meat that you will love!! You must register as a participant or as a support person to participate in the post-race food and beverage.

The Island, by Hotel RL (former Ramada Inn) will be the host race hotel. There are special room rates for RTB runners and their families. The Friday night Packet Pickup will be held at the hotel along with Sunday's Bloody Mary Recovery Run.
